A brief history

Littleton’s roots trace back to the 1859 Pikes Peak Gold Rush, when settlers, drawn by the promise of gold, began to establish farms and businesses in the area. Richard Sullivan Little, an engineer from New Hampshire, played a key role in developing the town’s irrigation systems, and the growing community was eventually named in his honor. By 1890, Littleton officially became a city. Today, it retains its quaint, historic character with well-preserved buildings, while also offering modern amenities and attractions.
